Rocca Luis César, una catarsis en Guadalajara

Rocca Luis César, a catharsis in Guadalajara

Rocca Luis César is a plastic artist from Guadalajara at heart and his first exhibition, of course, had to be in Guadalajara.

In Guadalajara you will find incredible artistic and cultural proposals, as well as spaces that promote its dissemination. Artistic expression in the Tapatia Pearl has taken on more voice and strength in recent years thanks to local and foreign artists who decide to stay and adopt Guadalajara as their land. Such is the case of Rocca Luis César, a visual artist from Guadalajara at heart.

Rocca studied and began his artistic career in Guadalajara, putting down roots with several projects and great opportunities that presented themselves inside and outside the city. One of these great projects was his collaboration with Natalia Lafourcade, for whom he designed the set design for an important concert for his career at the National Auditorium.

2020 came to change the course of our lives in many ways and, for the artist, it was no exception since it was during the pandemic situation that the artist found himself involved in a catharsis in which emotions such as sadness, loneliness and hope in an exercise in which he worked without prior sketches, which he described as a “cathartic vomit” to capture in his exhibition “All roads are circuits.”
