Be Mexican all year round in Guadalajara

We want you to live a very Mexican and Guadalajara experience on each visit and here we leave you some recommendations of activities and places that you can do on any Tapatio trip in which you want to get Mexican on any visit to the city, so why limit yourself only in September?

Enter the agave landscape

The Agave Landscape Region will make you fall in love with the beautiful view of its lands full of agaves and, although you might think that this region is pure tequila, the truth is that it has a lot to offer and know.

The first thing you will want to know is the tequila route, a tour of different distilleries to learn about the process of this emblematic and much-mentioned drink. In addition, on this route you will also be able to learn about the process of craft beer, since Cervecería Fortuna is part of this tour, so if what you want is to do a tasting and a good tour, this is for you.

If adventures are your thing and you are looking for a more cultural and outdoor experience… what you need is to know the Guachimontones. This archaeological zone is part of the Agave Landscape Region in the municipality of Teuchitlán and, unlike other foundations found in the country, the Guachimontones have a circular base, making their construction unique in the world. You will love the view from this place!

Different ways to drink a tequilita

As we already told you, in Guadalajara and its surroundings you will find many ways to drink a tequilita, but without a doubt the freshest and most traditional are in a jug or in a cazuelita, both prepared with tequila and a combination of citrus juices and other ingredients that will give it that fresh touch to enjoy the day and relax beautifully.

If you already wanted to try these delicacies, we tell you that you can find the cantoritos in abundance in the Agave Landscape Region such as in Amatitán and the Pueblo Mágico of Tequila, while the flying cazuelas (not because they fly, because you are going to fly after having one) you find them in the Magic Town of Tlaquepaque accompanied by mariachi. Here the decision is yours depending on how much you want to go out or stay in the city.

Museums to get Mexican

In La Perla Tapatia you will find several museums, but at this moment we want to remind you of two that will inspire you with their history or Mexican culture and make you feel love for our roots.

The first is the Pantaleón Panduro National Ceramic Award Museum located in the facilities of Centro Cultural el Refugio in the magical town of Tlaquepaque. In addition to the fact that the site is old and traditional from the center of this municipality, it has a lot to tell you through the crafts it houses, made with different methods and materials by different artisans.

The second museum you can visit is the Army and Air Force Museum located in the Reforma neighborhood. Here you can learn about the history of the Mexican army accompanied by an exhibition that displays incredible aircraft in an old mansion.

With these recommendations, the excuses to celebrate Mexico on any day of the year in Guadalajara may no longer be enough to encourage you to visit us in September or even in the month of your birthday. You just need to be encouraged!
